State Jazz Festival
Please save the date for the 2025 NSBA State Jazz Festival. The Jazz Festival this next year will once again be hosted at Elkhorn South High School on Thursday April 10th, and Friday, April 11th, 2025. As in years past, the Thursday portion of the event will occur in the evening and will be for middle school jazz bands. The Friday portion of the event will occur throughout the entire day and will be for high school jazz bands.
One change from previous years is that we will be prioritizing "first bands" during registration in an effort to support a wider range of bands and students throughout the state. Directors will be able to register multiple groups but any groups marked as "2nd Group" will be automatically waitlisted. One week after registration opens, 2nd bands will be allowed to fill spots in the festival not already taken by 1st groups.
The Thursday portion of the event will occur in the evening, and will be for the following groups:
- Middle School Jazz Bands that want to participate in either the Festival or Competition portion of the event.
- High School Jazz Bands that want to participate in the Festival portion.
The Friday portion of the event will be occurring throughout the entire day, and will be for the following groups:
- High School Jazz Bands that are wanting to participate in the competition portion of the event.
