New 8th Grade All-State Resource!

Last year, a project was begun to create recordings of 8th grade all-state video resources for students and directors across the state.  We’re happy to announce that the project is almost completely finished and is now posted on Youtube for access.  Videos are available for both the concert and jazz etudes.  Note that there are NOT recordings for the chromatic scale or improvisation.  

A few disclaimers:  

• These recordings are meant to be guides and tools, not a replacement for musical choices and personal development. Although the recorders all did a very fine job, it may be okay to differ in your approach.  

• Reminder that the listed tempos are suggestions and can be altered to an extent.  

• Due to various reasons, we are still waiting on recordings for the Bassoon, Jazz Vibes, and Jazz Bass.  We are hoping these will be available in the coming months.

• It was decided last March that the tenor sax concert etude is likely to change in coming years and will be re-recorded/released at that time.

We also want to acknowledge the following people for their time and effort in preparing for these recordings.  We are proud to see recorders across the state from Omaha to Mitchell:
