Frank Ibero is the director of bands at Scottsbluff High School in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He is currently in his eighth year of teaching, including the past six at Scottsbluff. His teaching duties include high school concert band, jazz band, pep band, and marching band. He also assists in teaching the bands at Bluffs Middle School and five elementary schools in Scottsbluff. Frank earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He currently has graduate hours from UNK and from Chadron State College.

In addition to NSBA, Frank is an active member of Nebraska Music Educators, MENC, Scottsbluff Education Association, and National Education Association.

He enjoys spending time with his wife, Shannon and his two children, Ashlyn and Riley.

Michael Sindt has been the director of bands at Pierce, NE since 1998 where he teaches nearly 200 students in grades 6-12.  Michael is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a major in Music Education and Music Performance, and he is currently working on his Masters at the American Band College in Ashland, Oregon.  In 2003, he received the Jack Snider Young Band Director Award from the Nebraska State Bandmasters Association.  Michael is an active member and featured trombone soloist in the 43rd Army Band in Lincoln, NE.  He is a member of NMEA, MENC, NSBA, and IAJE, and he also performs in the Northeast Area Jazz Ensemble, Plainview Klown Band, and A Touch of Brass.  Michael resides in Pierce with his wife Kelli.

Stan Johnson is the music director at Shickley Public Schools, where he teaches elementary band, junior high band, senior high concert, marching, and jazz band. He also, has Junior High general music/choir, and senior high chorus.
He holds an A.B. degree from Hastings College, and a M.A. degree from University of Northern Colorado, Greeley. Stan has served as Chairman of Class D All-State Band for many years, and hosted District I Music Contest for last ten years.
In the December 2003 issue of "School Band and Orchestra" magazine he was selected to represent Nebraska as one of "50 Directors Who Make a Difference".

He has received the Distinguished Service Award from the Nebraska State Bandmasters and in November 2007, the Nebraska Music Educators Association named Stan the "2007 Nebraska Music Educator" of the year.

He is a member of NSBA, NMEA, MENC, and Phi Beta Mu Band Fraternity. Stan is active in the Lutheran church and has served as organist for 35 years. Stan and his wife, Suzann, have four children and eight grandchildren.

2007-08 is our

The Nebraska State Bandmasters Association was founded as an unincorporated educational organization in 1962. The organization was founded for anyone interested in the improvement of school bands.
